Inspired by Gaudi and castles during a trip though Europe, I built Villa Bitterlin in 1970 as my dream home that we share with a select few that appreciate its many details and organic architecture. Villa Bitterlin is unbelievable oceanfront living at its best. Your magical wonderful stay will give you lifetime memories. Villa Bitterlin is the perfect Baja getaway... Steps away from famous San Miguel surfing beach, a 5 minute drive to supermarket and oceanfront restaurants, 10 minutes away from downtown Ensenada and a 15 minute drive to the very popular Guadalupe Valley wine country. My favorite pastime here is watching the mesmerizing waves, especially during some high tides when the waves crash and spout water 10-15 feet. You will experience seagulls parade over the terrace, the pelicans glide by or divebomb hunting their meal, as well as lobster fishermen in their red skiffs hauling in their traps. You will watch the ever present surfers from the kitchen windows, as well as spectacular sunsets from the terrace sipping a glass of local wine. Later you can roast marshmallows and make smores conversing at the glass gas fire pit next to the ever present bay whose island is said to have inspired Robert Louis Stevenson to write Treasure Island.

If there was an all-time airbnb list, this would be at the top. EPIC. It's almost surreal in style and location. A true passion project of the owner. One of the most interesting and beautiful homes that I have stayed in. Our hosts were more than helpful. This is the second time I've stayed and I'll be back again. Amazing!
